New Year New Goals
2020—A new year and even a new decade for us. Many people make new year's resolutions. At the United Utah Party, we want to set some goals for this new year.
But we want you to help us. Come to the Moving UUP Summit on Saturday, January 18, for a grassroots session on the future goals of the UUP. Go here to register. The party leadership will present what has happened in 2019 and what we want to happen in 2020. But we also will be giving those in attendance an opportunity to help us get there by sharing what they think about goals the party should set for this coming year.
Also, the party is looking for good candidates for state legislature, county, or state school board offices to share our message and, hopefully, win elections this year. If you have thought about being a candidate before but are not sure what's involved, participate in our candidate orientation session on January 16 at 7 pm. This is a session designed for those who are thinking about running, but aren't quite sure. Contact Kate Hardman at [email protected] and she will send you the log in credentials for the zoom call.
We do have candidates already running and their first candidate training will be occurring on January 25. If you already are a candidate, you will get more information on this shortly. If you know you want to be a candidate but haven't informed us yet, let me know at [email protected] so I can include you in this session.
We are starting off the new year with a bang. Tell your friends about this new alternative and invite them to come to the Moving UUP Summit, our upcoming caucus night (March 24), and our county and state conventions. 2020 promises to be an exciting year for the United Utah Party.

The Summit will be held at the StayBridge Hotel, located at 3380 North Triumph Blvd in Lehi, UT.
Curious About What It Takes to Run for Office?
Want to make a difference? Want to spread the message that we can break through the partisan gridlock that is gripping our state and nation? Want to help the United Utah Party become a force in Utah politics. Ever thought about running for office?
The United Utah Party needs individuals to run across the state who are community-minded, practical, knowledgeable on many issues (and willing to learn about others), and able to take some time in 2020 to campaign. Previous electoral experience is not necessary.
The United Utah Party will host a webinar designed to explain what is involved in running for office. The webinar is for those who are curious what would be involved. It will be January 16 at 7 pm. If you are interested in participating, please reply to [email protected]. You will be sent the log-in information.
Endorse the Party?
Want to help the cause, but don't know how to start? Dip your toes into supporting the UUP by sending your name and hometown to [email protected].
If you do, you'll be helping us flesh out the party for those considering their options! We will include your name and hometown on a list of endorsements in a fundraising letter and on our website. We want to let people know who some of our members are.
